news in steel always remember: only steel is real

"Question: In what materials are Landsharks available?

Answer: STEEL is REAL! There are no Aluminum Landsharks! No Carbon Fiber Landsharks! (OK, Shark forks can be obtained in carbon!)... Just the finest varieties of Steel.

Cyclists can debate the various frame materials, but NO material has been studied and developed as thoroughly as modern bicycle frame steels. It is simply about the RIDE.....the control, resilience, durability, responsiveness, snap, liveliness.. all these terms attempt to describe the feel of steel. The "twang" ... the comfort-along-with-stiffness, NOTHING can exactly duplicate those qualities as found in steel.

It is humorous the way that the bicycle magazine tests always end up inadvertently mentioning that the newest fad frame "almost rides as well as steel!" Aluminum frames also are going to be crapping after a few short years of use; aluminum has zero fatigue life! Steel, given proper care & feeding, will be around longer than you or I!

Titanium is the only other bicycle frame material that approaches the ride quality of steel. Ti can be close in some of the characteristics that give steel it's advantage..and of course titanium can be a little lighter. But in the actual analysis, the weight differences are really very small and usually grossly exaggerated by media hype. Most top end yet reliable modern frames, made of aluminum, steel or titanium, weigh between 3.25 and 3.75 pounds. Advertised weights are usually bologna!"

thats the spririt

Zeiterkenntnis?

Es gibt kaum noch romantische Menschen, die mit nostalgischer Unwissenheit umgehen können.
